Inktober- Inspiring Creativity Every Day

13 October 2017

Artists and staff at No.42 have taken inspiration in the everyday to create art for each day in October.

Now they are appealing for more people to get involved in the international art initiative, Inktober, which aims to help people discover and develop their creative abilities.

Whether doodling a nearby item or taking inspiration in your initials, a new theme is set every day throughout the month via the No.42 Facebook page.

All of the artworks submitted will be displayed at No.42’s gallery at the end of the month.

Surface designer, Sharron Bates, who sells her products at No.42 and artists Jayne Parker Johnson and Gillian Gamble, residents of Pod the incubator studios located on the first floor of No.42, are all taking part in the creative challenge.

Kate Gorman, Pod Manager, is also getting involved to create something new every day, she said: “Anybody can take part in Inktober, you don’t have to be an artist; it’s about having fun,”
