Arriva Bus and Northern Trains
18 May 2018
Arriva Bus and Northern trains have joined forces to make it easier for people travelling between Bishop Auckland and Darlington.
The duo’s new Day Ranger ticket, available from Sunday, 20 May, allows all day travel on any Arriva Bus or Northern train service running between the two towns.
Arriva Bus services from Bishop Auckland to Darlington are also being extended to 11.27pm from Monday, 4 June, allowing visitors to travel later by bus than is currently possible by train.
The initiatives were launched in a special event at Bishop Auckland Train station, where a new banner was unveiled by Northern, celebrating Bishop Auckland as the home of The Auckland Project and Kynren.
The event was attended by Helen Goodman MP and The Auckland Project’s Chief Executive, David Maddan, as well as representatives from Arriva Bus, Northern Rail, Darlington Council, Durham County Council, Bishop Line Community Rail Partnership and Kynren (pictured left).
