A Day of Floral Art and Music

Taking Root, a Day of Floral Art and Music

Saturday 29 September 2018
10:00 am - 3:00 pm

Auckland Tower will open its doors again to coincide with the Town Council’s Horticultural Show and Bishop Celebrating Together on 29 September from 10am-3pm.

We’re inviting you to enjoy an exhibition of work by school children created in celebration of the town’s horticultural and garden heritage, with a specific focus on the Floral Fete held in the Deer Park during the mid to late 1800s.

During the day you can listen to the music of Vaughan Williams, Cecil Sharp and Cream Tees, a youth folk band, formed in 2012 as part of the Music at the Heart of Teesdale project.

Also, join local Celtic harpist, Louise Bradley for a fabulous opportunity to try your hand in our harp playing workshops.

Suitable for all ages.

This is a drop-in event, so pre-booking is not required.
